Parking
There are two day-use parking lots on Galvez Street (one at Campus Drive and one at Memorial Way) that accept currency, coins, or credit cards. On Saturdays all campus parking, except handicapped spaces, is available without charge to visitors. Campus parking map

Users with disabilities

The Library is accessible by a ramp on the west side of the Hoover Tower, between the Tower and the Cummings Art Building. For more information about accessibility for the Hoover Library please call the Circulation Desk at (650) 723-2058 or send your request to hoovercirc@hoover.stanford.edu.

The Archives is accessible by a ramp from Crothers Way (behind the Herbert Hoover Memorial Building and Hoover Tower, between the Herbert Hoover Memorial Building and Green Library) and then an elevator just inside the front door of the building. Some of the archives’ collections are stored off-site, and it may be possible to have a limited number of boxes brought to the archives reading room for examination. A minimum of two days notice is required. Please contact Carol Leadenham for more information.

Public catalogs
The Stanford University online public access catalog Socrates contains information on books and serials in the Library, and descriptive overviews of collections in the Archives. Socrates searches can be limited to the Hoover Institution Archives or Hoover Institution Library. Finding aids are also available for many Archives collections at http://sunsite2.berkeley.edu/cgi-bin/oac/hoover and in the Archives reading room. Photocopies of finding aids, subject lists, and new accession lists can be purchased by mail from the Carol Leadenham.
