Michael Boskin, a senior fellow at the Hoover Institution and the T. M. Friedman Professor of Economics at Stanford University, gave the opening remarks at the January 22, 2013, Tax Policy Conference hosted at Stanford University by the Stanford Institute for Economic Policy Research (SIEPR), the Tax Policy Center of the Brookings Institution, and the Urban Institute. During a panel discussion with Donald Marron and Emmanuel Saez, Boskin framed a road map for tax reform, including the relationship to spending and to federal, state, and local governments. John Shoven, the Buzz and Barbara McCoy Senior Fellow at the Hoover Institution and director of SIEPR, moderated the event.
