Kiron K. Skinner, a W. Glenn Campbell Research Fellow at the Hoover Institution and associate professor of history and political science at Carnegie Mellon University, has been appointed to the advisory board of the official oral history project for President George W. Bush.

Seminar features Hoover senior fellow Terry Anderson
Terry Anderson, the John and Jean De Nault Senior Fellow at the Hoover Institution, is the executive director of PERC—the Property and Environment Research Center—a think tank in Bozeman, Montana, that focuses on market solutions to environmental problems. Anderson presented a talk titled “Confessions of a Rational Optimist” at the University Auditorium of the Classic Residence by Hyatt on March 9.

The Impact of Cogan, Hubbard, Kessler Reforms on Health Care Utilization and Federal Revenues by John Cogan, Glenn Hubbard, and Daniel Kessler
This paper provides a brief summary of the impact on health care utilization and federal revenues of three policy changes: making all purchases of health services tax deductible, reforming insurance regulation, and reforming medical malpractice liability laws. All numbers below are on an annual basis using 2008 values.
