Indigenous Student Seminar | Application

PROGRAM DATES: AUGUST 8-12, 2022

Only those who meet one of the following requirements should move forward with this application:

  • Completed at least two years of a four-year undergraduate degree by summer 2022 (i.e., current sophomores, juniors, or seniors)
  • Completed at least two years of a three-year undergraduate degree by summer 2022 (some international applicants); or
  • Recent graduate from an undergraduate degree program (graduate students are eligible to apply).

COST/ TUITION

The Indigenous Student Seminar is FREE to all accepted applicants. Program fees, food, and lodging will be covered for participants accepted into the program. Travel expenses and other incidentals are not included.

HOW TO APPLY

The application deadline is April 18, 2022.

Candidates should submit an essay explaining how this program fits into their professional or educational goals (1,000 words maximum), a CV, a completed application form, and two letters of recommendation.

To submit your letters of reference, please provide this link to your recommenders: https://hvr.co/RIE-LOR. The submission deadline for the letters of reference is the same as the application deadline of April 18, 2022.

Program fees, food and lodging will be provided, free of charge, to accepted applicants.

Applicants will be notified of acceptance by May 8, 2022.

The following short essay question offers the admissions committee a better understanding of your background and goals. Please limit your response to 1000 words in total.

Transcript Upload
Please upload a copy of your transcript from each college or university you have attended. Unofficial transcripts are acceptable, however please note that the Indigenous Student Seminar admissions may also request official transcripts for review. International Applicants - English Language Proficiency
Please select the manner in which you will demonstrate English language proficiency. If you wish to submit an IELTS score, please use a 'TOEFL score dated within the past 24 months' to demonstrate English language proficiency. List your test date where it asks for the TOEFL test date and list your overall IELTS band score where it asks for your total score.
Letters of Reference Information
We require two recommendations for a complete application. If you are a current student, at least one recommendation must come from a professor or academic advisor. Complete the information below and then send an email to your recommenders with this link - https://hvr.co/RIE-LOR, for them to submit their letters of recommendation.
