Legislative Delegation from Taiwan Visits Hoover

A bipartisan Taiwanese legislative delegation visited Hoover on Friday, July 12, 2013, as part of a diplomatic tour of the United States. The delegation included legislators Lin Yu-fang, Chen Tan-sun, Chan Kai-chin, and Wang Yu-min and officials from Taiwan’s foreign and defense ministries. Accompanied by Bruce Fuh, director-general of the Taipei Economic and Cultural Office in San Francisco, the delegation met and exchanged views on US-Taiwan relations with Hoover fellows.

Wakin appointed associate director and director of Library and Archives at Hoover

On Monday, July 1, 2013, Eric Wakin was appointed as associate director of the Hoover Institution and director of the Library and Archives. Before coming to Hoover, Wakin was the Herbert H. Lehman Curator for American History and the Curator of Manuscripts at the Rare Book and Manuscript Library at Columbia University, where he also taught courses in the History Department.
