Finding aids to the collections described below are now available through the Online Archive of California.

Iran Freedom Foundation records, 1966–93 
The collection relates to the Iranian revolution of 1979, subsequent political conditions and civil rights abuses in Iran, the Iran-Iraq War, Iranians in the United States and elsewhere, and US foreign policy toward Iran. It contains correspondence, printed matter, and sound and video recordings. The foundation, organized by Iranian émigrés  in the United States, promoted human rights and secular democracy in Iran.

Committee for a Free Asia collection, 1951–53
The newspaper clippings and Radio Free Asia press releases collected by the Committee for a Free Asia concern political, social, and economic conditions in China and Taiwan. The committee, an anticommunist organization, promoted freedom in Asia.

Free Europe Press issuances, 1951–56
These American propaganda leaflets were distributed by balloon to Czechoslovakia, Hungary, and Poland. As the publishing arm of the Free Europe Committee, the Free Europe Press was dedicated to returning democracy to Eastern Europe.

Justin Liuba papers, 1959–2010
This collection relates to Radio Free Europe’s (RFE) broadcasts to Romania and to political conditions in Romania, Romanian history, and Romanian émigré affairs. It contains correspondence, printed matter, and sound recordings of interviews conducted by Liuba, an RFE broadcaster.

Flora Belle Jan letters, 1918–49
Jan, a Chinese American journalist, wrote these letters, which concern journalism in the United States and China and to personal matters, to her friend Ludmelia Holstein.
