More than fifty lectures by economists, historians, and other academics at the Institute for Humane Studies from 1961 to 1977 are now available online. The Institute for Humane Studies sponsored these presentations to expand understanding of human affairs and freedom. It invited speakers such as Milton Friedman, Friedrich von Hayek, Arthur Ekirch, Arthur Kemp, and Thomas LeDuc to explore monopoly and competition, the role of government and the military, US intellectual history, and many other topics. The sound recordings, which were digitized by Hoover's audio lab, had been available in our reading room; with the institute's permission they are now online for worldwide access.
