About the Issue

Last week the PRC imposed new rules blocking citizens from leaving the country if they possessed information that might be deemed sensitive for national security or technology.  The Chinese Communist Party is becoming increasingly paranoid that its own citizens, particularly ones with foreign connections, cannot be trusted.

The International Consortium of Investigative Journalists released a report on one of the PRC’s largest policy banks, ICBC, that has been linked to systematic sanctions violations to push the Chinese Communist Party’s agenda through its outpost in London.

The U.S. Government released information that PRC satellite imagery providers helped Iranians conduct an attack in July that killed three U.S. service members, as PRC AI companies run industrial scale cyber attacks using AI to steal proprietary information.

The Network of Chinese Human Rights Defenders released a new report on how the PRC Government continues to use torture against political prisoners to extract confessions and has done little to police itself.
