The Library & Archives has received a rich collection of documentation on the former Yugoslavia in the final decade of the twentieth century. The papers of Miroslav Michael Djordjevich span the politician's service as the first president of both the Serbian Unity Congress and later the Council for Democratic Changes in Serbia. Djordjevich supported democracy in Yugoslavia and peace and stability in the Balkans. The papers donated to Hoover are an excellent record of Balkan politics in the 1990s, an eventful and often tragic decade in the history of the former Yugoslavia.
