On July 13, don't miss the prime time public television premiere of the Citizen Film documentary The Rifleman's Violin, which features virtuoso violinist and WWII veteran Stuart Canin, whose archival collection is held at Hoover. Canin, at the age of 19, famously played the violin for "The Big Three"–Joseph Stalin, Winston Churchill, and Harry S. Truman–at the Potsdam Conference in July of 1945. The Rifleman's Violin explores Canin's experiences during the war and features photographs and letters from his collection. The film will air at 8:40PM on July 13 on KQED, Bay Area Channel 9.
