Jane Cook

Jane Cook

Tech Futures Fellow

Jane Cook is a fourth-year PhD candidate in the Stanford Genetics Department. In Ami Bhatt's lab, she studies bacterial DNA to understand how helpful and harmful bacteria adapt to life inside the human body. Prior to graduate school, Cook majored in biochemistry as a Foundation Scholar of Trinity College Dublin and studied journalism as a visiting student at New York University’s Arthur L. Carter School of Journalism.

Kelly Fu

Kelly Fu

Tech Futures Fellow

Kelly Fu is a PhD candidate in Chinese history, studying the history of materials science and synthetic materials in Republican and PRC China. At TFL, she brings her knowledge of Chinese language, culture, and archives to anticipate where Chinese materials innovation goes next, from bio-manufactured plastics to circular economy capacity. Fu remains committed to telling more inclusive public histories of science and technology.
