The Hoover Institution hosted "Israel Facing a New Middle East: In Search of a National Security Strategy" on Monday, July 17, 2017 from 12:00pm - 2:00pm EST.

Hoover Institution Senior Fellow Peter Berkowitz and author of Israel Facing a New Middle East, Itai Brun discussed the evolution of Israel's national security, military doctrine, and policies in light of today's challenges and changes in the Middle East, with emphasis on two key periods-the years: 1979 to 1982 (and their subsequent impact) and the current Middle Eastern turmoil (reviewing national security strategy, the cabinet level's national security policy, and the Israel Defense Forces' (IDF) military strategy).
