Jowei Chen was a National Fellow for the 2013-14 academic year.

He is an assistant professor at the University of Michigan in the Department of Political Science and a faculty associate at the Center for Political Studies His research examines distributive spending, bureaucratic politics, redistricting, and legislatures. His work has been published in the American Journal of Political Science, the American Political Science Review, and the Quarterly Journal of Political Science.
