This biggest story this week isn’t the testimony by the CEO of TikTok, but the revelations on Wednesday that Canadian Liberal MP Han Dong, who has been at the center of the controversy over Chinese Communist Party interference in Canadian elections, advised a senior Chinese diplomat in February 2021 that Beijing should hold off on releasing the two Michaels because doing so before the election might benefit the opposition Conservative Party.
