Over the past week, the Biden Administration implemented and supported multiple actions to be protect the data and privacy of American citizens from exploitation by the PRC and other countries of concern. 

The President issued an executive order prohibiting the sale of personal data to the PRC, initiated an investigation by the Commerce Department into the threat posed by PRC Electric Vehicles, and signaled the Administration’s support for a bipartisan bill that could force ByteDance to sell TikTok or see the social media platform banned in the United States.

The Goldman Sachs Chief Investment Officer advised against investing in the PRC and Newsweek revealed that the German Government built an official messaging service on Huawei’s operating system, even though the Government prohibits Huawei equipment for official government use.
