About the Issue

As the PRC steps up its efforts to aid Russia, North Korea, and Iran, the Wall Street Journal reports on the financial mechanics behind Beijing’s support for the Iranian regime.

Five years after Xi Jinping declared a “complete victory” in eradicating poverty in the PRC, the World Bank has finally taken the action to phase out lending to China, unfortunately it won’t happen for another five years.

The Chinese Communist Party has pushed through and begun to implement one of the harshest anti-ethnicity laws in the country’s history, essentially making it illegal for the country’s 56 ethnic minorities to practice their culture.  The law also makes it illegal to criticize the Party’s abuse of its minorities anywhere in the world.

At the same time, Xi Jinping continues to present the Chinese Communist Party as a force for peace and prosperity even as the country’s economic policies impoverish its neighbors and the PRC’s negotiators claim that they aren’t to blame for Europe’s economic problems.
