Israeli and Palestinian officials are set to resume peace talks tonight in Washington, D.C., the first time both parties have held direct talks since 2010. Secretary of State John Kerry had been shuttling back and forth to the Middle East to encourage a meeting, and last night the Israeli cabinet also signaled a move toward talks, voting to approve the release of 104 Palestinian prisoners.
