Lieutenant Colonel Tyler J. Jensen is a US Army Special Forces officer. Over a thirty-year career, he has served across the globe, including numerous combat and operational deployments to geopolitically contested areas in the Middle East, the First Island Chain, Southeast Asia, Northern Africa, and Central and Eastern Europe.

Most recently, Jensen commanded the First Battalion, Nineteenth Special Forces Group (Airborne), leading a high-priority special operations task force of Army, Navy, Air Force, and Marine special operators in the First Island Chain. His extensive background spans tactical command to diplomatic service at the US Embassy in Morocco.

He commissioned as a distinguished military graduate from Brigham Young University, earned an MA in international relations from Saint Mary’s University, and is a graduate of the Joint Combined Warfighter School. He is a recipient of the Silver Star.
