The American health care system is on an unsustainable path, characterized by government-dominated insurance that obscures prices and reduces competition. The Affordable Care Act doubled down on the wrong incentives, leading to further competition among insurers and fewer choices for consumers. Reducing health care costs comes from encouraging price competition.
