About

Nick Gebbia is a Hoover Fellow at the Hoover Institution. Gebbia applies his background in economics to study public policy using administrative data and rigorous empirical methods.

His research centers on two categories: First is the effectiveness and efficiency of public programs, including the role of information and higher education policy. Second is which factors during childhood—neighborhood characteristics such as crime or education, or family circumstances such as parent employment and income—causally impact later-life outcomes.

Gebbia received his PhD in economics from the University of California–Berkeley and his BA in economics from Pomona College.
