Ruosong “Ross” Gao
Student Fellow, Hoover History Lab

Ruosong “Ross” Gao is a Stanford junior majoring in history and mathematics. Growing up in Beijing, he eventually chose to attend high school at Cranbrook Kingswood Schools in Michigan, before attending Stanford. Ross is broadly interested in political history, popular movements, intellectual history, and education, as well as exploring methods and ideas emerging in digital humanities. His student fellowship project at the Hoover History Lab focuses on China’s perception of western decline.
