Ruosong Gao
Student Fellow, Hoover History Lab

Ruosong Gao is a junior majoring in history and mathematics. Growing up in Beijing, he eventually chose to attend high school at Cranbrook Kingswood Schools in Michigan, before attending Stanford. For the past few years, he has studied popular movements in American history. He is a student fellow at Stephen Kotkin’s Hoover History Lab, working on China's perception of western decline. Ross is broadly interested in political history, popular movements, intellectual history, and education, as well as exploring methods and ideas emerging in digital humanities.
