John B. Taylor, the George P. Shultz Senior Fellow in Economics at the Hoover Institution and the Mary and Robert Raymond Professor of Economics, was awarded the 2015 Economics Distinguished Faculty Teaching Award at the Stanford’s Economics Department graduation ceremony on June 13.

Taylor received the award “for introducing a generation of Stanford undergraduates to Economics, fostering in them a passion for the subject through his fervor, and inspiring them to continue studies in the field” as stated in the citation.

Previously Taylor was awarded the Lilian and Thomas B. Rhodes Prize for outstanding contributions to the teaching of introductory economics and the Laurence and Naomi Carpenter Hoagland Prize in recognition for excellence in undergraduate teaching.
