Clips of William F. Buckley’s Firing Line television series are now available on Hoover’s website and on YouTube. The clips are approximately five minutes long; if you enjoy the clip you can purchase the full-length Firing Line DVD at Amazon.com. Proceeds from Amazon sales help us preserve and make available more episodes of Firing Line.

Also, more than 250 transcripts of Firing Line programs are available as free downloads from Hoover’s Firing Line database.

Firing Line was broadcast from 1966 to 1999, first as an hour-long show and later as a half-hour program. The Firing Line collection at the Hoover Institution Archives includes videotapes of about 1,500 shows, as well as transcripts, photographs, program preparation materials, and other items.

Hoover will continue to add more clips as well as full-length Firing Line DVDs for sale at Amazon.com. If you find an episode in Hoover’s database that has not been digitized and you would like to see a clip or purchase the program, please contact Audiovisual Services.
