Through his consulting practice, Edwards develops innovative strategies to strengthen school safety, continuity planning, and organizational resilience in the face of complex threats.

Allen “AJ” Edwards is a veteran fellow for the academic year 2025-26 at the Hoover Institution.

Allen Edwards, CBCP, MBA, is an accomplished emergency management professional, veteran, and founder of AJ Edwards Consulting. With more than fifteen years of combined military and federal service, he has built expertise in chemical, biological, radiological, and nuclear defense; hazard analysis; and continuity planning at the highest levels. He has served in multiple capacities advising senior leaders on resilience, crisis response, and continuity strategies.

Through AJ Edwards Consulting, he delivers tailored solutions for schools, nonprofits, and businesses to enhance continuity, emergency preparedness, and organizational resilience. His initiatives range from digital training platforms to policy-focused toolkits that empower institutions to prepare for and respond to natural and human-caused threats.

Edwards’s career reflects his lifelong commitment to service, leadership, and helping communities build sustainable resilience in the face of evolving challenges.
