About

Jansen Weaver is a veteran fellow for the academic year 2025-26 at the Hoover Institution.

Weaver is a leader at the intersection of technology, finance, and national security. He is the chief business officer of Peripheral, where he leads the growth of the AI decision intelligence startup. This role complements his continued service as a Marine attaché in the US Marine Corps Reserves.

Weaver’s leadership philosophy is deeply informed by his active duty service in the Marine Corps, which included deployments to the Middle East and Asia. He built his corporate foundation in finance and strategy as an investment banker at Lazard and a consultant at Deloitte, before taking on executive roles at the health-tech company Headspace and managing a healthcare innovation fund for the Children's Hospital of Philadelphia.

Weaver holds advanced degrees from Cornell University, National Intelligence University, and Marshall University, and is an alumnus of the College of New Jersey. He is a current term member on the Council on Foreign Relations and a former Truman National Security Fellow.
