  Stephen H. Morris, EdD, is CEO and cofounder of the Civic Education Center and a keynote speaker on civic education, democracy, and reflective patriotism. With decades of experience as a teacher, principal, and superintendent, he equips students and educators to apply civic values, foster dialogue, and advance inclusive engagement in schools and communities.

  Dr. Stephen H. Morris is a keynote speaker, researcher, and civic leader whose work centers on the critical analysis of civic values and their equitable application in public education. He examines how instructional practices and school leadership shape student learning and the development of democratic competencies, particularly among marginalized populations. Through the lens of reflective patriotism, Dr. Morris explores structures that facilitate or hinder civic dialogue and collaboration in PK–12 education. A former superintendent and nonprofit CEO, he is also cofounder of the Civic Education Center, which promotes civic service learning and democratic participation through student and educator partnerships.
