The Hoover Institution Library & Archives invite you to a gallery talk with book and paper conservator Laurent Cruveillier about Mounting Flat Paper Objects for Display on Tuesday, December 10, 2024, from 12:00 to 12:30 PM PT in the Lou Henry Hoover Gallery at Hoover Tower (550 Jane Stanford Way, Stanford, CA 94305).

Perfect for anyone interested to learn how to showcase their artwork, documents, or other treasures with a gallery-worthy touch.

Following the event, the Library & Archives invite guests to explore The Battalion Artist and Hoover@100: Ideas Defining a Century exhibitions.

Laurent Cruveillier

Laurent Cruveillier is the Hoover Institution Library & Archives Book & Paper Conservator. After a Business School degree from EM-Lyon Business School (MSc Management) and postgraduate degrees in International Trade and Science Management, he worked 23 years in Portugal as a marketing and advertising executive and manager. Prior to moving to California, Laurent was working at University College London, as Paper Conservator in the Special Collections Department. The work of the Conservation department at the Hoover Institution Library & Archives includes providing input for collection care decision making, assessing and stabilizing incoming collections, preparing collections for digitization and high-resolution imaging, supporting engagement activities such as exhibits or loans, conserving library and archives materials, supporting research activities, like handling fragile objects for researchers, training colleagues and interns, promoting good practices in object handling and preservation.
