New finding aids to eight collections documenting social and political conditions in Africa are now available through the Online Archive of California. Highlights include sound recordings of interviews with Organisation Armée Secrète (OAS) leaders from the Algerian war for independence, speeches from the Eritrean People's Liberation Front, and photographs of the French colonial administrator Félix Éboué.

The recently completed Guide to the Hoover Institution Archives Motion Picture Films is now available through the Online Archive of California website. The guide, which lists collections at Hoover that contain motion picture films, is intended to streamline the search and discovery process for those researchers and filmmakers specifically interested in films.

Highlights include photographs and scrapbooks from US relief workers in France, a memoir describing Ernest Hemingway's work in the ambulance service, and documents from the Siberia-based "Wolfhounds."

A major update to the Firing Line broadcast records finding aid is now available. In addition to the original videotapes of this long-running television show, the Firing Line collection includes extensive paper and photographic records related to the series; the updated finding aid now includes a detailed list of speakers who were invited on the show. All of the background files, publicity files, and transcripts for individual shows are grouped together by episode and linked to the program summaries in the Firing Line database.
