The Hoover Institution Library & Archives are open to everyone without charge. Visitors must first register and create an account with Aeon, the Hoover L&A Request System, and agree to the Hoover L&A conditions of use. Before registering, you may wish to read the Aeon FAQ, which may answer questions you might have about the Aeon registration and request management system.

Upon arrival to the library or archives reading room, you will be required to show government-issued photo ID in order to complete the registration process. Your photo will also be taken for a Hoover L&A reader card.

High school students are also welcome to register and use the collections. Younger students must be accompanied by a responsible adult.
