The work of the Conservation department at the Hoover Institution Library & Archives includes providing input for collection care decision making, assessing and stabilizing incoming collections, preparing collections for digitization and high-resolution imaging, supporting engagement activities such as exhibits or loans, conserving library and archives materials, supporting research activities, like handling fragile objects for researchers, training colleagues and interns, promoting good practices in object handling and preservation.
