June 2018: Updates From the Director's Desk

Thursday, June 14, 2018

Summer brings a busy schedule of exciting events and programs to the Library & Archives. Last month we welcomed distinguished scholars and journalists for a fascinating panel discussion on Vietnam War politics and history in conjunction with the opening of our new exhibition, We Shot the War: Overseas Weekly in Vietnam. In June, July, and August, we open our reading rooms to researchers participating in our annual workshops, who study subjects spanning from political economy and authoritarianism to trade issues related to modern China. We also recently welcomed visiting students from Stanford's International Policy Studies Program, History Department, and School of Education.

Research at Hoover continues to be robust, innovative, and expanding. We thank our supporters for helping us make the world's most compelling materials on war, revolution, and peace available to scholars, students, and a broad public interested in the lessons of history.

Warm regards,

Eric Wakin, Director
