Culture War? Author Fiorina Discusses His Views on a Politically Divided Country

February 8, 2006

"Red state and blue state people just do not differ that much," said Hoover fellow Morris P. Fiorina at an associates meeting at the Stanford Institute for Economic Policy Research on February 2. In the presentation titled "Political Division in America: Has Culture Eclipsed Economics?" Fiorina argued that people are not divided as the media represent them.

Fiorina, a senior fellow at the Hoover Institution and the Wendt Family Professor of Political Science at Stanford University, co authored Culture War?: The Myth of a Polarized America (Pearson Longman, 2004).
