Emmerich Davies was the Susan Louise Dyer Peace Fellow at the Hoover Institution from 2019-2020.

Emmerich Davies is an assistant professor of international education at the Harvard Graduate School of Education. His current research focuses on nonstate service provision in South Asia, the effects of education on political behavior and participation, the role of education assessments in public opinion, and the political control of the bureaucracy in education. His work has appeared in Comparative Political Studies. He received his doctorate in political science from the University of Pennsylvania in 2016 and his bachelor’s degree in economics and political science from Stanford University in 2007. Emmerich spent his year at the Hoover Institution working on a book manuscript on the causes and consequences of private service provision in education.
