ISSUES DISCUSSED

The Resolution Project group met to refine further the group’s Chapter 14 proposal. This included discussion of feedback from various political conduits, the discussion of a timetable for completion of the proposal, and plans going forward to disburse knowledge of the proposal to the general public. Particular topics discussed included government mechanisms of funding, the pros and cons of government versus market reorganization of bankrupt entities, the treatment of qualified financial contracts (QFCs), and stays in preference rules.
