Political Order and Political Decay: From the Industrial Revolution to the Globalization of Democracy, the long-awaited and much-acclaimed new book by Francis Fukuyama, a renowned political scientist, a Stanford University professor, and a member of the Hoover Working Group on Foreign Policy and Grand Strategy, hit the shelves in September 2014. The Hoover Institution in Washington, DC, hosted Fukuyama for a book talk on Thursday, January 15, followed by two panels discussing key themes from the book featuring Hoover senior fellow Barry Weingast, Michael Asimow of the Stanford Law School, Max Stier of Partnership for Public Service, John Dilulio of the University of Pennsylvania, Don Kettl of the University of Maryland, and Funmi Olorunnipa of the Administrative Conference of the United States.
