Rear Admiral Mark H. Buzby
Rear Admiral Mark H. Buzby, US Navy (ret.), served as a surface warfare officer in the US Navy for the past thirty-four years, most recently commanding the navy’s Military Sealift Command. In that capacity, he was responsible for a fleet of 170 vessels, performing fleet replenishment, prepositioning, special missions, and sealift operations for the Department of Defense and supported agencies. One of his missions included the annual resupply missions to US facilities at McMurdo Station, Antarctica, and Thule, Greenland. Buzby is a graduate of the US Merchant Marine Academy, the US Naval War College, and Salve Regina University. In his spare time, he is the master/chief engineer/deck seaman, and Wiper aboard his forty-three-year-old wooden yacht Jerry Land.
