David Willetts, British member of Parliament and the minister of state for universities and science, visited the Hoover Institution on Thursday, December 15, 2011, as part of his daylong visit to Stanford University. Willetts engaged in a roundtable discussion with Hoover fellows that focused on social mobility and its implications for student enrollment in higher education. The Hoover participants included Terry Moe, senior fellow and a member of the Institution's Koret Task Force on K–12 education; Gerald A. Dorfman, senior fellow; Michael Bernstam, research fellow; and Richard Sousa, senior associate director and research fellow. The event was hosted by Hoover Institution associate director Donald Meyer.
