Richard Epstein, the Peter and Kirsten Bedford Senior Fellow at the Hoover Institution, member of Hoover's Property Rights, Freedom, and Prosperity Task Force, the Laurence A. Tisch Professor of Law at New York University, and the James Parker Hall Distinguished Service Professor of Law at the University of Chicago, will debate Pamela Karlan, a Stanford Law School professor, on Tuesday, January 11, 2011, in the moot court room at the Stanford Law School. Abraham D. Sofaer, the George P. Shultz Distinguished Scholar and a senior fellow at the Hoover Institution who served as legal adviser to the US Department of State from 1985 to 1990, will chair the event. Daniel Kessler, a senior fellow at the Hoover Institution, the David S. and Ann M. Barlow Professor in Management at the Graduate School of Business at Stanford University, and professor at Stanford’s Law School, will be one of the commentators.
