Ambassador-Itamar-Rabinovich

Ambassador Itamar Rabinovich spoke at a special seminar October 15 regarding the approach by the United States to Israel and Syria in a presentation titled “Washington, Jerusalem, and Damascus: The Challenge of a Dual‐Track Negotiation.” Itamar Rabinovich, a Hoover distinguished visiting fellow, holds the Yona and Dina Ettinger Chair of Contemporary Middle Eastern History at Tel Aviv University. He recently completed an eight–year term as the president of Tel Aviv University, where he has been a member of the faculty since 1971. Between 1992 and 1996, Rabinovich served as Israel”s Ambassador to the United States and as Chief Negotiator with Syria while on leave from Tel Aviv University.
