Commissioner Troy Paredes, of the Securities and Exchange Commission, spoke to members of the Hoover Institution’s John and Jean De Nault Task Force on Property Rights, Freedom, and Prosperity on Thursday, May 6. The commissioner’s luncheon presentation helped kick off the two-day meeting of the task force at the Institution.

The John and Jean De Nault Task Force on Property Rights, Freedom, and Prosperity examines how secure property rights help foster economic development, encourage natural resource stewardship, advance investment in intellectual and physical capital, encourage sound business practices, and promote liberty and individual responsibility.
