About the Issue

The Japanese Prime Minister addressed Congress this week about the PRC as “the greatest strategic challenge.”

Australia completes a security treaty with Tuvalu to block PRC influence in the region, as messages between PRC cyber warriors reveal that the Australian Strategic Policy Institute is one of their top targets.

Fitch Ratings revises its outlook on the PRC to negative and Alexander Gabuev describes the “Unholy Alliance” between Xi and Putin in his latest Foreign Affairs piece.

Lastly, Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau testifies at the public inquiry on foreign interference that he has spent a year trying to prevent from being made public.  In his testimony, he discounts the work of his own intelligence services as not being “sufficiently credible” and fails to explain why he took no action to prevent the PRC from aiding his own Liberal Party against his Conservative Party opponents.
