Despite the old saying, “Don’t cry over spilled milk,” the Environmental Protection Agency is doing just that, says Thomas Sowell.
Milk contains oil — who knew? Apparently the Environmental Protection Agency. EPA regulations state that “milk typically contains a percentage of animal fat, which is a non-petroleum oil. Thus, containers storing milk are subject to the Oil Spill Prevention, Control and Countermeasure Program rule …” Hence, the EPA now has the authority to force farmers to comply with new regulations to show how they will cope if there is “a flood of spilled milk.”
