485

This month Dr. Dorota Niedziałkowska, a publishing specialist and curator at the Exhibition Department of the State Museum at Majdanek, Poland, visited Hoover Archives to study rare typescripts of 485 Days at Majdanek, a memoir written by Polish lawyer and industrialist Jerzy Kwiatkowski, who was incarcerated at the concentration camp in Majdanek during World War II. The memoir is among the most important works documenting Majdanek, and was used several times as evidence in the trials against the Nazi crew of Konzentrationslager Lublin as well as being discussed in Congress.
