Threats and opportunities, risks and rewards, and danger and hope for the future of our free society were in the spotlight for attendees at Hoover’s 2018 Spring Retreat.
Hoover’s communications and outreach team connects the Institution with interested publics: lawmakers, policy and opinion leaders, news media, universities, and think tanks. It advances the fellows’ ideas and scholarship, publicizes library and archival holdings, and promotes the Institution’s mission.
The focus at the retreat was on the economy. Many of Hoover’s top economists spoke on the causes of the financial crisis and its consequences.
