Blount Hall, named in honor of Hoover overseer and project supporter Bill Blount, will serve as a multipurpose room capable of accommodating 440 guests. The wall opposite the photo shows full-height mockups of the archival political posters selected for the room’s walls.

A closer shot of the poster mock-ups shows slices reproduced at different opacities to find the perfect balance of color for the Blount Hall space. The final posters, approximately twelve feet high by eight feet wide, will include sixteen selections from Hoover’s holdings of more than 130,000 political posters.

Looking the opposite way from the Stanford’s main quad show’s the institution’s new primary public entrance on Lasuen Mall, a major campus thoroughfare leading to the main library, student union, and other key student and faculty facilities. This new front door of the institution will welcome visitors to engage with events and academic resources at Hoover.

Hauck Auditorium, the four hundred–seat venue named for Overseer Everett “Sparky” Hauck and his wife Jane, is nearing completion, evidenced by the curved, acoustic wood ceilings and theater-style seating.

With construction in its final stages, landscaping work has begun, as shown by the linden trees now dotting Fairweather Courtyard. Sponsored by Hoover overseer Art Hall and his wife, Joanne, this semiprivate space sits between Hoover Tower and the Pavilion.
