Taiwanese vice premier Sean C. Chen visited the Hoover Institution on May 16, 2011, accompanied by Taiwanese vice foreign minister Ping-fu Hou and Mr. Jack Chiang, director-general of the Taipei Economic and Cultural Office in San Francisco. Hsiao-ting Lin, research fellow and curator of the East Asian Collection at the Hoover Institution Library and Archives, and Lisa Nguyen, curator of the East Asian Collection, accompanied by Richard Sousa, director of the library and archives, and Research Fellow Tai-Chun Kuo, gave the visitors a tour of the exhibit A Century of Change: China 1911–2011, the Hoover Tower, and the Chiang Kai-shek diaries in the archives.
