Wynton Hall is a visiting fellow at the Hoover Institution. He is a member of the eight-person National Task Force on the Presidency and Public Opinion, which is composed of some of the nation's top presidential scholars.

Hall's work has been published in several venues, including the New York Times, USA Today, the Washington Times, and National Review Online.

He is the author or coauthor of four books. In February 2007, Hall published The Right Words: Great Republican Speeches That Shaped History (Wiley). He also coedited Landmark Speeches of the American Conservative Movement (Texas A&M University Press, 2007) with Hoover fellow Peter Schweizer.

In 2006, Hall and Caspar Weinberger, President Reagan's secretary of defense, published Home of the Brave: Honoring the Unsung Heroes in the War on Terror (Forge, 2006). The book chronicles the valor of nineteen of the most highly decorated soldiers, sailors, members of the air force, and marines fighting in the war on terrorism.

Hall is coauthor, with Dick Wirthlin, President Ronald Reagan’s chief political strategist and pollster, of the best-selling book, The Greatest Communicator: What Ronald Reagan Taught Me about Politics, Leadership, and Life (Wiley, 2004).

Hall has served as a communication consultant and speechwriter for political candidates, college presidents, U.S. senators, state agencies, nationally known lawyers, CEOs, TV news celebrities, and companies such as Harris Interactive, Wirthlin Worldwide, and UBS Paine Webber.

The recipient of Texas A&M University’s Distinguished Research Award, Hall also served as an intern for United States senator Connie Mack and worked in the Florida State Senate.

He has taught graduate and undergraduate courses in political campaigning, speechwriting, communication, and presidential rhetoric at Texas A&M University, East Tennessee State University, and Bainbridge College.

Hall holds an M.A. from Texas A&M University with an emphasis in rhetoric and public affairs. He received his B.A. in political science from the University of Florida. He lives in Georgia with his wife, Katie, and their daughter.
