This week’s issue starts with Niall Ferguson’s latest commentary on Cold War 2 and the need for the United States to “play for time.” 

The refusal of the Chinese Communist Party to take responsibility for its irresponsible lending is causing enormous suffering across developing countries.  To add insult to injury, Reuters broke the news that the PRC has been waging cyberattacks against Kenya to prevent them from going public about the negative effects of Belt and Road lending.

Also this week, Beijing succeeded in coercing the World Health Organization to refuse a seat for Taiwan at the World Health Assembly.
