The Hoover Institution's quarterly journal, The Hoover Digest, has been awarded three Gold Ink awards for editions printed in 2005 and 2006 by PrintMedia and Printing Impressions magazines, the competition's cosponsors.

The awards were a gold award for Digest number 3, 2005; a silver award for Digest number 2, 2005; and a bronze award for Digest number 1, 2006. All were in the category of scientific and technical journals.

Winners will be honored at the Gold Ink Awards and of Fame Banquet on October 16, 2006, during Graph Expo and Converting Expo in Chicago.

This year's Gold Ink Award winners were chosen from nearly 1,600 entries submitted within 40 categories. Winning pieces were chosen for their print quality, quality of color separations, technical difficulty, and overall visual effect.
