Assistant Secretary of State for East Asian and Pacific Affairs David Stilwell delivered keynote remarks on U.S. relations with China at a virtual event hosted by the Hoover Institution. He talked about China’s influence around the globe, their authoritarian approach to leadership, China’s lack of reciprocity with other countries, and how the United States is countering them. Former Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice (George W. Bush administration, 2005-09) gave introductory remarks.
